If you've been through Capitan Basic Training you'll understand the problems caused by copying and pasting content from different sources.
We understand that many people prefer to work this way, instead of creating content directly in Capitan, so we've built some tools to clean up any unwanted code which you could be copying in the background of your content without knowing.
Clear Formatting
The Clear Formatting button (Tx) will remove all id="", class="" and style="" attributes and inline style tags from the content. If you're copying content into Capitan you should use this button after pasting.
The tool runs on the entire content so there's no need to select anything before hitting this.
Clear Untidy Tags
The Clear Untidy Tags button (magic wand) will strip invalid tags and attributes, empty tags, and invalid tag nesting.
If you've built a complex layout using "div" building blocks you should make sure they all have a class or id attribute, otherwise they'll be removed.
The tool runs on the entire content so there's no need to select anything before hitting this. It's good practice to use this tool when you've finished creating or editing content to keep things nice and tidy.
